Norinco M4 CQ5.56 MAGPUL - MOE UPGRADES

I've shot there with my cousin that's just north of Victoria...I met a prick of a Fud there the day we went.

Common issue, I mostly use the other range which is short (25 yard max) but is basically "no fuds allowed" and works well for CQB stuff. The Fuds would have a coronary if they saw the rifle-transition-pistol closing movement rapid fire that goes on down the hill. Strangely you don't run into idiots with muzzle issues there either.

Yea we should have went to the lower one, my cousin mentioned it but I don't recall why we didn't. I think he was trying to be courteous as we had brought out his SKS.

That Fud was annoying. there was a benchrest shooter that got annoyed and finally left rather then start an argumentm he was a nice guy...had a good conversation with him, definitely on the same page as us as far as range etiquette. Fud calls for a "Cold range" while he set up, so buddy starts reloading his mags and the guy flips yelling at him not to touch his weapons at all til the range was hot.

We were all like WTF. He's not loading the weapon, he's reloading mags.

The shooter left soon after. Fud called for a cold range again awhile later while he made adjustments, and we were finished, so we took our targets down. My cousin was packing up his kit, so he grabs the SKS, action open, Muzzle up, and does a 180 to transport the weapon to his rifle case...Fud snap shows saying range is cold and not to touch the weapon.

I was like WTF. You called for a cold range...we're packing up...

I can't get his logic...was he expecting to call a "Hot range" and then we move around on the firing line with a rifle...that'd scare the hell out of me if I saw a guy doing that...

To us "Cold Range", as he called it, meant weapons empty so you can change targets...why the F' wouldn't now be the time to pack up weapons rather then him see us moving rifles out of the corner of his eye while the range is hot...Douche probably expected us to prove our weapons clear to him...

Hey IMAR
How did you get on with shipping all three pieces ? it must have put you over the $100 limit for export.

Brownells usually discounts from the catalog total, at time of invoicing. I have placed many orders with them and am typically invoiced for ~80% of the listed price. I have never dealt with another outfit that did so, needless to say I am not arguing ;).

Im looking all over for magpul hand guards in black aswell as a few other magpul items.
Brownells seems to have black ones on backorder !! BAAAAAAA
Keep your eye on them, they come back in stock quickly but also sell out before too long.

ok finally took some pics !!

When you order stuff from the States, its 100 dollars max per ITEM up to a max of 500 dollars per total order. I have ordered a few 200+ dollar orders from Brownells and as long as each item is under 100 bucks its fine.

Over 500 dollars requires some sort of commerce paperwork though.

Gun parts cannot total more then $100.00 per order.

Many times have I ordered more than 100 dollars worth of stuff from Brownells and they ship it up. Including the guy in this thread.

If ANY company errs on the side of caution its Brownells. Even if something is legal to export they sometimes wont if the CDN border doesn't like it.

It also says the total order price on the invoice right on the box.

I've never had a box of gun stuff held at the border, I've had it checked many times, but never held or denied. (for either side of the border)

So either Brownells either REALLY recently changed their rules (within the last month) or my original statement was correct.

You made that order last February so I think Brownell's are now enforcing the $100 limit, as anyone on here recently received an order from them over $100 ?

I recently sent them email asking about the $100 limit this is the reply I got from Brownell's

"Why is your orders to Canada limited to $100.00 while other online retailers in the U.S. are higher ? Is there any chance the limit will be raised to $200.00 like Numrich Gun Corp"

The value placed on gun component parts shipping is set by ITAR, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, it is their determination on the dollar value. This dollar value has not been changed.

Read my edit, my 200 dollar shipment from Brownells came just fine.

No part alone was over 100 dollars, but the entire order was 200 dollars US.

If they changed the policy then I can understand that... They used to have posted up that each ITEM had to be under 100 dollars up to a maximum order of 500 dollars. It would suck if they changed it recently, I will have to talk to my friend whom orders a lot of stuff from Brownells and see if they are giving him any trouble.

I guess I should have tried to make an order over $100.00 I would have saved allot on shipping with my previous orders.

Worst case is they can give you the ol' "We require you to fill out ### forms" and you can just tell them to drop whatever items off the order and re-order them on a separate one...

I cant understand why they would have so recently changed the rules for no reason.
