Personally I find these kind of poses tasteless. but then again i still preform der letzte bissen on my game (minus the prayer)....

Nope, don't bother me at all. Looks like a happy young lady with an elk of her own -- I say, right on!

Just curious -- why do you find holding up the antlers while sitting astride any more offensive than holding the antlers up in some other position? I mean -- I'm a hunter, and trophy pics certainly don't offend me at all -- but it would seem to me, that if someone was to take offense to a trophy pic; the offense would be in the wild celebration of the success in ruthlessly hunting, brutally killing, and subsequently cutting up and butchering of one of the most beautiful creatures to walk the face of this planet. Assuming that sort of thing bothered you -- the particular pose chosen for the celebratory photo would seem to be rather unimportant. And by the same token, if all that doesn't bother you; why does the pose?

Serious question.

And you assume wrong. it has to do with her being seated atop it. it's not a horse or a beast of burden, it's food. It should be treated with the respect it deserves. I don't feel the need to explain myself, I just posted a thread asking if anyone else felt the same.

Not something I would do.
I think it's in poor taste as well.

I read something once about not sitting on or having a foot on a dead animal in the photo, a sign of disrespect or something?

Wow, maybe I'd best not show pics of us holding our geese. maybe they should all be laid out gently on a blanket of roses and mourned over.....ya right!!! Good lord find something else to ##### about. Be glad for the woman, not jealous because she probably hammered a bigger one than you. Grow up!!:nest:
