Well, we are headed out early on Friday Morning.....some libations will be taking place Fri. Night, and Sat. is devoted to cleaning up a bunch of the Watches. They have fallen into disrepair over the last number of years, and we are going a day early to do some clean up and brush cutting.

For some reason, this year, I am looking forward to getting away, more than I ever have. Worked my ass off this year, and am really looking forward to getting away. Didn't even get my Buck this year, with Archery equipment, before the regular season, to piss the boys off by not having a tag......hopefully I see a big guy while I am North.:D

Our group hunts WMU 47, Port Loring area, lets all chime in and state where you are hunting, and please follow up with some pics of success....or even just the general area that you hunt, or some good group pics of your hunting companions

I'll be hunting right out my back door if I can get a day or two off. I'm in a controlled hunt area (76b) and the season runs Mon to Fri only. I just started with a new company 4 weeks ago, so I may or may not be able to get time off. We do new home construction and renovation and the majority of the guys working for the company hunt as do most of our sub contractors. There is a pretty decent chance the sub-division I'm running will be a ghost town next week because all the guys off for deer season, so I may be able to at least get an afternoon or two off.

Headed to tent camp on Friday. WMU 11a and 12 b. We are up north. A week in the Woods wall tent with a jack pine fire in the stove will be just what the doctor ordered. Of course some fine meals will also help.

regards, Darryl

I will be heading up to a camp in wmu #49....just north of Perry Sound. Going up on Saturday morning, can't wait to get up there this year!

Heading to #74B, with my best friends in the second week of November. I would have gone up for the first week but I have promised a friend that I would take him out for the shotgun hunt here in #78B.

I EFFING LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!

Hunting in WMU 80. Was worried I wouldnt get time off on account of a new job through a temp agency, then I got the H1N1 Flu so they probably will have replaced me. Darn.. guess I'll have to go out every day next week!

I'll need it though. Am not lucky in the deer department despite much patience and trying.

Leaving on Sunday for WMU 55B and can't wait (as always)!.

Some photos from last year.

doing a bit of a road trip, new location every day for 5 days, second week, doing it solo too, I got a doe tag for 54 so making my way up there from Mississauga, planning on hitting a couple spots before i get to my final destination. Will be trying both rifle and shotgun WMU's.

I'm also heading up to WMU 57 in Bancroft. I live close so it is just day trips for me and my friends. Have access to a cottage if an emergency arises. Good luck to everyone!!

I was at the camp tonight. We put the finishing touches on the 8x20 addition we built this year. We are going to be styling this year.

Hunting 64A just north of Perth...

I'm stoked and can hardly wait for Monday!

Heading out for 43b on November 15th.......Not sure about this 3rd week business, Im going to have to dress like stay puff the marshmallow man to stay warm on the tree stand.

Heading to WMU 49 on Tuesday, hopefully in time for an evening hunt. Work won't let me get away any sooner.

3 of my regulars bailed out at the last minute, so its just 2 maybe 3 of us this year.

Really looking forward to the time off and some quality time in the bush.

Let them bail, we used to have about 12 now were down to 5 regulars and this year we got 2 visitors for the first couple of days. I find since were down to a smaller gang you get your choice of watches. Its actullly more fun cause after we sit for a few hour if you want to a change of pace you just take a poke over to one of the other watches for somthing to do. Last year that method payed off cause buddy shot at 2 dows on his way over to another watch. We'll be somewhere in WMU 62. We got 3 ground blinds in and some salt lics. Four outa five with a doe tag. I've already got my bags packed for Friday night to hit the road from Ottawa Figure I"ll do some bow hunting on the weekend just to scratch the itch instead of chewing the bit until Monday.

I'm also looking for a place to bow hunt close to Ottawa after the rifle season on the weekends.
Anyone interested in learning some basic bow skills or looking for a partner drop me a line, or you have some nuscience deer you want cleared drop me a line.
