I i have a No4 MK1 but the bolt is from a MK2 it seems to work fine has decent groups at 100 yards, i have put probably 60 rounds through it. Just wondering if there is a difference between the bolts that i should know about?

No difference, they are the same. make sure your bolt has the correct bolt head. The Enfield used different sized bolt heads to head space the rifle. Most people do not know this and tended to mix and match thinking they are all the same. Just to be safe, have it head spaced at a smith, it takes around 5 min and depending on the smith, might be free.

there is really no difference between No4 Mk1 and Mk2 bolts,

what makes you think that your bolt is a Mk2 bolt

Stamped MK II on the right side of the cocking piece? That refers to the model of the cocking piece.
Robbed from a Mk. II rifle?

The "2 on the end of it", you mean on the bolt head? (the part that can unscrew off the front of the bolt). That would simply be a number that refers to the size of the bolt head (slight differences between the ones stamped with a 1, or a 2, or a 3...)

Yep the 2 is on the bolt head, but it does say MK II on the back of the bolt. Sorry for my bad terminology lol

Mk.1 cocking piece had a distinctive mushroom head, the Mk.2 was similar to the mid-late WW1 SMLE cocking piece. Mk.1 was used only on very early production, and is rarely seen. There was a Mk.3 cocking piece, that omitted the grasping grooves. Never actually saw one.

I've got at least one Mk1, (round button) many MkII (flat) and 2 or 3 of the Mk III (without the grasping grooves) :D Oh and almost all of them are on rifles :D
