Ok, so the little tabs inside of the mag well... if I find a way to move them, the grips should then pop off? Or do they need to be slid, pulled, persuaded in a certain direction?

Thanks

Start on the left grip panel side. Insert a flat(or blade) screwdriver into little tab, and it will swing to the rear of pistol. Grip will pop out. Rotate wing? tab on right side (through from left side) and you're set.

Mags

I just placed an order through Lever Arms for some mags. They are for the Norinco Type 54, not the M213. Apparently, if I take out the spacer in the mag well, they should work. I hope so, as they do not guarantee that they will and once I buy them, they're mine. No returns.

Here's hoping.

And in case anyone is wondering, I ordered 5 at 15.00 each and they have lots more.

How light of a load will a M213 use and still work the slide I like to use 4.gr 231 in my 9mm loads. Im thinking of buying one I like 9mm and they sure sound afordable.

Plante man

They (mine anyways) can handle quite low charges without stalling. I think I used 3.4-3.6 Titegroup with a 124 grain cast bullet and besides half blackened brass, it worked fine. This is just under minimum load IIRC.

Get yourself access to the equipment exchange part of the forum if you haven't already. I've seen the M-213's for sale a few times from members.....usually running the same price as new.

I got the ones from Lever Arms. Not sure if they are the same ones you have ordered or not. The Lever Arms supplied ones stood a bit tall at the back and would catch the little metal spine that sits on the firing pin housing portion of the slide just behind the face. I got around this by filing a little half round relief notch in the back wall of the magazines. If you run into issues with the slide jamming fully back before it even touches the rim of the cartridge you may have the same issue. The good news is that it's a super simple fix if you have a small round needle file or a Dremel.

Are the mags from lever 7.62 mags then? Maybe I should get some for mine.

The mags from Lever are for the 9mm version. As such they come with spacers installed in the magazines with spot welds. But yeah, they are the 7.62 with the mods to adapt to 9. I'm pretty sure these are the mags you'd get if you had the 9mm conversion kit for the orginal 7.62 version. I'm not sure if they have any true 7.62x25 mags or not if that is what you're after. Contact them.

Here's my M213 with home made grips, and a light.

That's pimped yo.:p

How did you attach the light?? And how did you make the grip stay on?

P12,

Can you please explain how you went about attaching the grips?

I wanted to make a pair of wooden grips since befor I got the gun, but I couldn't figure out how to attach them, eventually I realized that the best way would be to attach them the same way the originals are, or at least as close as possible. I used a Chicago screw to hold the twist tab thingi, the screw on the tab is welded on, once assembled the grips go on and off in the same way as the originals.

The grips were made from the piece of wood in the picture, I don't have any wood working machines or skills, but I menaged to carve out the inside of the grips with a pocket knife, I drew lines on the wood with a pencil so I'd have a guide line where to cut, the outside was done with a borrowed belt sander. The grips were then treated with some kind of wood paint and then two coats of clear coat for wood. The tabs were sprayed with grey primer, the screws were spreyed with black spray paint.

The light mount was done by Casey at TacOrd
