CZ858 muzzle brake

Tried them all expect the krinkoff version that Wolverine just came out with not to long ago. In the end the one that is sitting on my rig is this one.

The CZ Brake works good. Noticeable difference in sound and recoil.
I have not tried the others yet, NEA and Rauch Tactical will have theirs out Soon.
When they are available I will try both.

BANG!
Instead of...
bang.
And if you want the loudest one check out Dlask midevil one. OMG people that shot beside me realy didn't like me much.

Get anything but the Dlask AKM brake.
The CZ military style one is a great balance between cost and effectiveness.

In terms of sound, we don't jokingly refer to muzzle brakes as loudeners for nothing.

Gents:

If I may add my 2 cents

What you need to determine if you want a Flash hider or comp.

Flash hidders like the Vortex do some pretty impressive things when it comes to arresting the muzzel flash. They do not howver really address muzzle jump.

Comp's, as a general rule of thumb, really address muzzle jump, however they can infact make muzzle flash more impressive.

There are some that do both, however they are a bit of a compromise.

Another thing to keep in mind when it comes to the Vz/Cz carbine platfrom, usually shooting corrosive ammo is the rule rather than the exception, and what ever muzzle attachment you get, you will want one that is eassy to maintian, and either made of, or coated with the most rust resistant material you can find.

Hope that helps

I like the akm style as it doesn't add much to the barrel. The non restricted is long enough already. Just wondering if it actually works.

Depends on what you understand "works" to mean.

If you think it means:
- causes rifle butt to smash you in the face and radically degrades accuracy

Then yes; it works like a hot damn.

Bud there is no picture here!!

Which one is it, the suspense is killing me!!

Here are just some of the ones I tried;
29-11-08_1458.jpg

Left to right, Dlask vortex style flash hidder (lots of slop but the flash was almost nil), CZ 858 military issue (curently on my rig and the best one to date for this rifle), Dlask A6 muzzle brake (the noisest one out of the bunch and did nothing really for recoil), Dlask compensator / muzzle brake (work fairly well but lots of slop and produced big balls of flame from time to time).

I have also tried but never owned the Dlask XB2 flash suppressor (works good if you care about the person next to you)
P1020262-1.JPG

and also the horriable Dlask AKM Style Brake.

..........work fairly well but lots of slop........

I am no expert, but would it not be possible to remove the slop by carefully fileing down the comp/break in question??

Or conversly is there no equivilant in the VZ-58 world to a "Crush or peel" washer like there is in the AR world??

I'm being quite serious here, not trying to be a jerk or anything.
