IPSC Ont Board Elections

I love to see so much interest in our election... Now lets just hope voter returns reflect that much interest...

To generate interest we need to know who is running, so we can discuss nominations. If we wait for Siterep, what kind of discussion this will generate? Siterep will come about few weeks before we need to cast the vote, some guys may not even get Siterep, at least I know about one person who is a member for years and not getting it.
Then we would like to hear from all candidates, what are their plans and visions in regards of IPSC ON?
I like the way they run election in USPSA, nominations are announces months before, so they have time to analyze each candidate, even watch him during matches to determine which one is best.

I think we need to have our own IPSC ON forum, where only paid members can go, so announcing certain things are easier then on CGN.

Good Luck and all best wishes to all who run

I'll try it one more time Peter...

All members will be informed though formal channels...at the same time. You don't have any more right to the info because you're on GunNutz. The Sitrep schedule will allow more than enough time for everyone to make an informed decision.

I'm sure the info will make it's way here soon enough...but not as a formal announcement from IPSC Ontario.

The day something is posted here that you don't complain about...I'm going out to buy a lottery ticket.

Quigley,

have anyone tell you that you are very negative person? :(
I respect your position and you, but lighten up a bit, when people ask it means they care, they want to know, those who don't ask, either already know or do not give a damn, is that so hard to understand?
In your eyes, no one has a right to know, suggest anything, no one can comment anything (only b.s. possitive comments welcomed), no one can complain about waiting for match results for days (weeks sometimes).
Your answer is always, what is your contribution...:)

:agree:

I am with Peter on this. The fact that we are here and other 75% aren't actually mean something, i.e. it's an individual's choice.

Though there is also no reasons to wait for Sitrep and not to publish the candidates at the IPSC Ontario web site, I believe there is a news section already.

All you do is sit on GunNutz and complain...and you call me negative. How ironic. Feel free to ask our contributing members how much time I have for them.

You're not part of the solution Pete...you're part of the problem...and you are correct. I have little time and no patience for it.

Since you brought it up...as yet you have not answered...exactly what is your contribution

It's not a rhetorical question...I'd appreciate an answer.

It will be published on the IPSC Ontario website, just like it has been for every other election.

god, thats scary. i know all 5 candidates! what a terrible thing for an Alberta red neck to have to admit :{

i have to agree with Quigley (god did i just type that!) CGN is not an IPSC Site. Just because a lot of us waste our time on here does not mean we are entitled to information before the members. it is one of the reason why IPSC Alberta set up it's own PHP forum so that we could keep our members in the loop.

That's it... that's all you guys got???
What? No :nest:  :stirthepot2:

Or is everyone still  about the names on the ballot.

Just joking around, by the way...

It is nice to see 5 worthy candidates stepping up to the plate for the betterment of our sport here in Ontario. Thank you for your continued commitment to IPSC Ontario.

:rockOn:Good luck to all the candidates.
