Actually, he looks like a WWII era commando to me if you replaced his C1A1 with a; Sten, Bren, Tommy Gun, or Enfield.

Still, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near him on a night ambush. If he flashed those pearly whites the enemy would see him a mile away.

It would be like tripping a pop flare.:D

You say WWII era Commando, but when I was in that was still the way to dress...... Wool is your friend on the moors...

Hey, if it works, why quit. That is just the image I have of the commandos who conducted raids along the French Coast before the D-Day invasions.

I wore Stanfields grey wool sweaters most of the time when I was working in; mills, construction, forestry, or mineral exploration. By the time I finally bought fleece jackets, I only wore them with my clean clothes. I seem to recall fleece was a lot more expensive at first.

And the same lockers and bunks are still sitting there.

But nothing is worse than anyone who has spent time in Petersville. Everyone knows the infamous shower quonset lovingly referred to as Auschwitz.

That shower was the greatest thing after doing many days advance to contact in the deep snow followed by freezing rain!!!

Except the fact that when you got out of the shower, you had flakes of lead based paint all over you that had fallen off because of the steam. But agreed, at least it was a creature comfort.
