Any Glowing Recommendations for a 9mm or 45acp Revolver?

For a 9nm revolver, the convertible Ruger may be your only real option in Canada. Taurus and S&W used to make them as police back-up guns, but they were short-barreled guns and I don't think they're made any more. S&W used to make the 547 as a primary weapon with either a 3" or a 4" bbl. I managed to get one and Barry Jensen at Bits of Pieces made a "restricted" barrel for it. They show up occasionally and are nice. You don't need clips to hold the cartridges. Ruger had for a very short time a similar gun in their catalog. 9mm revolvers do exist in Europe. The S&W "25" revolvers are I believe your best bet in .45 ACP. During WWI Smith made revolvers to take the .45 ACP cartridge in clips and they turn up occasionally. After WWII a number of Webley Mk.VI revolvers were ground at the rear of the cylinder to permit use of the .45 ACP cartridge in clips (or .45 Auto Rim). But you'd have to really look.

My only concern with the 9mm/357 would be accuracy with the 9mm, but I do like the idea of having the .357/.38 sp option with the second cylinder. I'm just not keen on adding yet another caliber when I've got a lot of semi-auto rounds.

This I believe to be the S&W 25-2 I purchased off of Jaybird some time ago.
It's an awesome target piece BTW!
And although it's not as pretty, my Brazilian S&W Model 1937, is almost as good at the range.
Providing the daylight is not glaring off the half-moon fixed front sight.
How about a .45acp Smith & Wesson 25-2.

I suppose I could also consider a BFR in .45/70 Gov't since I'm trying to match a revolver to a caliber I've already got.

With springfield level loads they are a sweetheart to shoot!
I think accuracy is always a question when you're dealing with guns that shoot more than one cartridge of supposedly the same caliber. But they are kind of fun, and as you point out, it's a good way to at least use the 9mm rounds. And you might be surprised by the accuracy.
But it's almost as big as the rifle! lol

You'll also need or just want a loading and unloading tool, and IDPA-compliant moonclip holders (the spring-pressure ones are, apparently). Might as well get it all at once. Loading / unloading with your bare hands is a good way to raise your blood pressure and bend the clips.
