A Mossberg 800a??

Guys got one to get rid of cheap in 30/06 I believe. Gun has no mag though.

Anyone have any experience with this type?? Thoughts on availability of finding a mag??

Thx.

IIRC it uses a internal mag with what looks like a hinged floor plate set up, you could check with Numrich for the parts.

I'll PM you the link to save you some time. :)

I met a guy at the range a few weeks back that uses one for all around hunting and Moose. He seemed to be quite happy with it.

The 800A was made from 1966 to 1979 in .308 Win only. Other 800 series were made in other short action cartridge (800B = .243, 800C = .22-250, etc..

The Model 810 series was chambered in long action cartridges (.30-06)

I have no experience with Mossberg centerfire rifles but I would contact Havlin sales (www .havlinsales.com) to see if they have a mag for it. They are based out St Louis if I remember right, but they do ship to Canada and they're great to deal with as well.

Last I check Havlin no longer ships to Canada.
My Mossberg 46M .22 still needs a new firing pin. :(

Doubt check to be sure though, can't hurt to ask.
