The subject of the perfect M14 grease is just about like any other M14 related topic ...
full of opinions, controversy, and Bullshine.
Years ago I had a buddy who built match / target M14 and Garand rifles. He swore by the grease he "liberated" from the Nuclear Power plant at Pickering, where it was used to lubricate the valves that controlled the flow of coolant to the reactor. This grease supposedly cost $ 100 an ounce ... and he gave me some of his secret stash.
Didn't seem to make much difference to my M14 reliability or accuracy ....
but what the hell, there are people who will pay ANYTHING to make their M14 more tacticool.
And when it comes to tacticool, it would be hard to beat NUCLEAR RATED grease.
So for those M14 afficianados, with more money than common sense,
send me your M14 and $ 200, and shipping cost both ways,
and I will lube your M14 with some of my special MAGIC snake oil ....
but of course ..
no guarantees ..
and
of course
YPMMV.

PS: For those who want to save their $ 200 fee for the magic snake oil treatment, I suggest the Canuckistani Tire boat trailer wheel bearing grease ...
waterproof, and it sticks like ...well ... like grease.
Remember,
A little dab will do ya!
And remember too that too much grease attracts dust and sand and grit ... which when combined with grease, are the three grades of grinding compound we use to lap in various moving parts.
Grease lightly, and keep the grease CLEAN, or you will wear your M14 out a lot faster than a properly lubed and cleaned 14.
PPS: SOMEWHERE IN THAT LAST M14 VIDEO, there is my version of how to grease an M14 properly.
