Nugget's 721 300H&H is a BIG hit.

nice ive got the remington 700 ammo isnt cheap tho

For a "magnum" it isn't all that painful to feed. The bullets aren't cheap but it is only burning 61grs of powder IIRC.

Other than a couple boxes of loaded ammo I bought this year when the rest was buried due to renos I haven't bought any in over 12 years so you could say I had sticker shock.

Get reloading and never look back.:)

Thanks for the kind words fellahs. I hope to upgrade the camera next year so I can loose the fuzzy bottom right corner on the macro shots.

Dave, didn't Remington bring out their 700 Classic in .300 H&H one year?

Not that my opinion matters, but I think the .300 H&H is a better round than the .300 Winchester due to the neck of the Winchester being so short.

By the way Noel, that's a nice outfit Nuggets got, and a good report you made.

Not sure . I sure would like to know if it was though...

Remington did make a 700 Classic in 300 H&H....I know because my Brother lost one in the Murray river south of Tumbler Ridge when his canoe got caught in a whirlpool and capsized. He also lost all his camping gear and barely made it out,
He still has 3 rifles in 300 H&H, 2 pre-64s and a nice 721, but he still believes the 700 was the best shooter...

Thanks Kevan! I just did some searching while you replied and yes they did.

Learn something new every day...

Yes, they did, and I walked away from one in excellent condition that I saw for $700 at Corlanes when passing through Dawson Creek last year. Called a few days later, and it was gone......of course! :bangHead: Which one of you guys got that one?

I did buy the SAKO 338 Win Mag though. :)
