Not sure if this should be in black rifles or precision rifles, so I will take my first stab at it here. I have seen these for sale in the US for around $1000, but are there any .50 BMG AR Uppers for sale in Canada? The cheapest .50 rifles I know of are $3000 and up in canada, so an AR upper would seem to be a smart way to start off with .50 BMG.

Thanks.

There are 50 BMG AR uppers in Canada but not many so would not be easy to find one for sale. The big problem with these is they end up restricted once attached to the Ar lower. Meaning they can only be shot on a range

and as many ranges are not blueprinted for 50BMG, this is a problem.

Not a problem for me on both counts.

I live in Ontario, and have never found a suitable location far enough away from people but close enough to be convinient, that I can shoot at.

On top of that, my local range allows "All Legal Calibers". I confirmed with them that I can bring anything up to a 20mm up to the range.

My sole reason for asking about the .50 uppers was the cost difference between it and a dedicated gun, but if there are only a few in canada, it will probably end up being cheaper getting a dedicated gun.

Which is why we are manufacturing a dedicated lower that has been RCMP approved as NON restricted.
It means modifying the 50 cal upper to mate to our lower and an AR upper will NOT fit and function.

So what would the ballpark range be for the non-restricted lower and the .50 uppers be then? I am interested and still looking for solutions.

Thanks Rick.

The problem will be in finding someone willing to sell an upper. I paid just over $3000.00 for my Ferret upper a few years ago.
Our complete lowers fitted to either a Ferret or Safe Harbor upper is $1200.00

Yeah and my $1200 M3 Grease Gun is worth $25,000 usd south of the border. And your point would be?

Things cost here what they cost HERE. What things cost THERE is irrelevant and thus pointless to contemplate because our laws are different.

F**k me Gump, you're a genius:rolleyes::rolleyes:
