handguard off of the sks gas tube

It will be at the back where the gas tube is closest to your bolt. It will be through that back metal part holding the handguard on the gas tube (it might be painted over so look hard). Now one side is flared and the other side is straight. So you need to take a set of calipers and measure which side is the widest and then punch that side out.

It is at the back of the gas tube a tiny pin needs to be hammered out, hammer and us e a small punch from the side that looks smaller. Mine took a few whacks to get out, but it came out and I actually reused it.

The new Choate Tools stock and handguard are really nice, holds onto the barrel firmly and is a bit lighter too, but solid.

I am looking for where I can buy or get a small pin for the gas chamber on the sks. This pin is used to hold in the wooded stock in place on the gas chamber and i was wondering where i could get a replacement one for it?

Its just a mild steel pin. Easy to make, you don't need an official replacement. Chuck up a nail in an electric drill and spin it against a file until the diameter is correct.
