Hey guys

does anyone know if there are any 454 casull auto loading guns in Canada?

All i can find is this hellsing 454 casull, but that barell looks waaaaayyyy too long. So any other makers of such a gun? Or does this come in a shorter barell, and how much is one?

According to Hellsing that gun fires a 13mm HE round. I hate anime... As for your question, I have never heard of such a thing outside my own imagination. Given the operating pressures it would have to be quite a machine.

I thought making a .454 Automag type cartridge would be pretty badass. I bet there is a reason it hasn't been done, or if it has why it isn't popular.

You're thinking of the Jackel, that's the 13mm round, which isn't totally unbelievable. The .50AE is 12.7mm; the fact that the Jackel appears recoil operated irks me but since it's anime it's forgivable.

Alucard's silver gun, the Joshua is a .454 Casull. That thing is also airsoft.

As for calibers chambered in .454 Casull... I've heard rumours of a few AMT automags being converted to the caliber, but beyond that the only still in production magnum caliber pistol I'm aware of is the Desert Eagle.

I won't argue. Though I have only seen the first two episodes and that was the only gun used by "Alucard". Not sure why I would have thought that. Most likely put it together myself...

S'all right, the Hellsing anime isn't exactly on my must watch list. More like my, "Let's rent it for a weekend and have some good laughs at it," catagory. Plus if you look at it's demographic, young males aged 14-20.

Now Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, THERE'S an anime that one can sink their teeth into. Doesn't hurt that the weapons aren't utterly outrageous.

Wasn't the Mateba revolver/semi-auto pistol offered in 454 Casul?

Matebas are about as rare as hen's teeth to begin with and the 454 version is even more uncommon.

.357 and .44 Mag.

.38 and .44 Special won't cycle the gun.

Also, in an interview, Kouta Hirano (The manga-ka of Hellsing) stated that he only draws Alucard reloading "when it looks cool".

Gunsmith Cats is much closer to reality.
