(HELP PLEASE)Zeroed at 100m where is my POI at 200m

Just out at the range today and I sighted my gun in at 100m, and I am wondering if I had to shoot out to 200m where would my point of aim need to be to put shots on the bull. I am using .308 win Federal 150 grain Power Shok wich is moving at around 2800 fps I believe. Out of a Savage with a 21 inch barrel.

I would expect your drop to be more like 4", due to an actual velocity less than 2800 fps.

An important thing to know is how high your scope is above the bore.

I took a few shots out at 200 only had 2 left and aiming at the bull i didnt even see then hit paper. Could be I just suck, but I was getting 1 1/4 inches at 100m. So basically aim 4 inches high and take it from there. I am gonna have to start reloading .308 along with 9mm and 45acp if I start shooting this rifle anymore. LOL. I have been shooting handguns for a couple years now and I have a CZ 858 that i just shoot for fun with a cheap red dot on the action range or at 50m. But I am starting to like the benchrest shooting. Damn I am gonna go broke if I keep this up. LOL.

if your interested, i sight my .308 in at two inches high at 100m. this translates with my loads to about bang on at 200m and three inches low at 250m. so for most hunting applications i can pretty much just point and shoot.

Assuming you are shooting at 2800 fps and using 50mm scope, which is mounted just above the barrel - impact should be about 4" lower than POA.

Absolutely. The second half of the answer is that it will fall somewhere in the Mean point of impact for 200. I'm guessing this combo isn't putting 5 shots through the same hole.

Sight in 3.9" high at 100 with your Federal ammo. Drops like a brick between 200 and 300.
"...2800 fps I believe..." Nominally 2820 fps at the muzzle. 2261fps at 200.
Federal gives limited ballistics charts on their site. Select the cartridge and then the Load number.

Mark, your rifle would be much better sighted 2-3" high at 100.

That will put the bullet still a bit high at 200, around 3-4' low at 250, and less than a foot low at 300.

Makes hitting big game a bit easier.
