Marlin XS7C

Very nice to hold. Light weight and smooth action. They get great reviews, and are really cheap. For a hunting rifle I chose the savage, but just because the barrel is full floating, but the Marlin was my second choice. Never fired one but apparently they are very accurate for such a cheap rifle.

I have used the XL7 since last year at this time, and the XS7 since this summer. Great rifles, very accurate, good stock design, fine adjustable trigger, and a recoil pad that actually works (unlike the Savage). :)

:agree:

I also have the XL7, mine is very accurate, even got to test it out on a couple does last week. I really like it, and as mentioned, the only stock rifle I have where the recoil pad actually works. I have not tried a XS7 yet, but have heard there as good as the XL7's, am hoping to pick one up soon.
