DSC00344.jpg

some of you may notice a different scope perched atop my rifle now.. this is because the Leatherwood took a steaming dump on itself
sight picture went completely hazy ( looked like looking through fog ) at any magnification above 10x

Man, I have wanted to move to NZ for years and these pictures have done nothing to make me dampen that desire.

BTW, The rifle and Cujo are both very nicle looking!

Where's the big suppressor can?

And while we're on topic of the animals, get some of that fierce-looking cat of yours. Something for an "Icanhazcheezburgerz" type of portrait. :D

Chance to fire it yet? Pic of a target?

no, in the 28 minutes since i said i havent fired it, i STILL havent fired it :p

believe me, once ive had a blast i will post up pics

this will be done

OK as promised.. range report for the Howa
not really a proper setup, was shot in a field, on my mates farm with the target ( hand draw ) paper clipped to a piece of plywood .. and to top it off 40-75km/h gusting winds ..

and on top of that ! i was using Barnaul 55gr soft point rounds.. these are steel case, quality is on par with, or slightly below Highland AX ammunition

BUT the rifle pleased me muchly .

the black marked holes are where i had an issue with scope rings coming loose ( ametuer hour :p )

red is sighting groups, and blue is groups i was trying for

Hey Bro,

Sorry to hear about your dingo. That's aweful! I lost my 17 year old cat a few weeks back and it was like losing member of the family.

Your rifle shows real promise!

Ian

Hay Ian sorry to hear about your cat, family members are hard to replace, I do have a bunch at the Ranch if you need to replenished the heard.

Cheers Bucky

That is a nice setup - I was going to say that you should get a Tikka blah blah but changed my mind. :p Those ranged indicators on the elevation - does it come from Leatherwood like that? Are they adjustable it is a neat idea.

they are adjustble, you can set them, theres 10 flags for setting elevations.

the leatherwood isnt on there anymore, ( added some other pics a page back )

its now wearing Falcon glass as the leatherwood sh!t the bed

its a neat idea but their quality let them down
