Two weeks of deer hunting and I didn't see a hair. What a great hunt just the same. First week in 46 and we got 2 bucks and 4 does but I didn't see a hair. Second week in 49 and we got 2 bucks and 3 does but I didn't see a hair. A few of the chases came very very close to me a couple of times - close but no cigar. I don't recall such consistent good weather apart from a couple of less than ideal days the first week. Just too bad it's all over for another year. I wonder how many others had a great hunt but didn't kill a deer themselves?

Ron, some of my very best hunts were when I never fired a shot; the invigerating aroma of fall, beautiful mountains, (oops, you hunt in Ontario!) great hunting partner, what more could you want?

I know what you mean. This evenings hunt I had bush pushing duties and was not the trigger man. Buddy missed a buck on the first drive and he nailed a doe on the second. I did not see a hair as well but my part in the hunt was as important as the shot. A great hunt without seeing a thing other than the deer in the back of my truck :D

You're right Bruce. The best part of the second week was that both my sons were in camp and for one night and a day two grandsons ages 8 & 9 joined in also. The future of our sport.
