In my search for a fast shooting, short, big game gun, I think I'm settling into the remington model 750. I'm thinking about the synthetic carbine in .308.
Anyone have any stories of support or horror stories about this gun? I honestly know very little about it, other that it seems to be the shortest semi in my price range that comes in .308. (I'm partial to .308 for it's availability and range of bullet weights)
The Mini Thirty is short, fast, and looks like fun, but I'm not sure it's enough gun for moose chambered in 7.62x39 (less that 1000 ft/lbs past 100 yards).
Am I missing any other guns that would fit this mold?
I appreciate the input!
