Looked at it at the gun show, didn't really think it was worth $3,000. Kind of heavy I thought and you could feel the 18'6" inch barrel. Not as handy as I thought. You guys should really look at the baby first before ordering blind.
So on what basis did you form your opinions? I don't own one but there are lots on this site that do and they have a far better idea of what they are worth and what they are like. Contrast that with someone like you who picks one up a gun show briefly and comes to the blinding conclusion that they are not worth $ 3,000 after what, 5 minutes of fake aiming?
Maybe you don't like it because you cannot afford it. My impression of many of the people on this site is that they do a fair amount of research before the purchase a firearm. Future weapons thinks it is a great firearm. Many of the owners on this site who have intimate knowledge of them feel they are great, although, like any weapon, they have their quirks.
Your dissertation was not an impression. It was an opinion based on a very brief handling of the firearm and certainly coloured by whatever biases you harbour financially or otherwise.
Maybe you could elaborate on some of your points. "Kind of heavy and you could feel the 18'6" (should be 18.6" barrel) inch barrel". In relation to what? Its a bull pup and a well balanced one at that. Can you not feel the barrel of a regularly configured AR15 or Swiss Arms? I know I can.
And what does "not as handy as I thought" mean?. As stated it means nothing. And you "Looked at it at the gun show, didn't really think it was worth $3,000". On what fact set? Quality? Fit? Finish? You must back up what you say with something intelligent.
What you did was to throw out an off handed and ill considered opinion about something you know little about. You embarrassed yourself and pissed off a bunch of Tavor owners. Please think before you post and check your spelling and measurements.
