who as moded is 597 VTR ??? NOW WITH PICS !!!! TIPS & TRICKS

The VTR comes with the 16" target barrel and if Dr.Lector needs some measurements then I can offer up mine but as long as he doesn't mind threading it to accept ar flash hidder.

Our's is a target barrel so it won't fit but this does;

They already have a couple of them for measuring,
but I think that I wouldn't be wrong to say
here "Thanks" on behalf of DlaskCo.

I am not sure how easy is to thread that barrel, if a jig
might be needed or sumpin, but I promise I will look into it.

i don't think it would be difficult to tread the stock barrel!

just have to mill down the tip of the barrel to .500 then tread it 1/2x28 ntp.
I wish i would still work at my last job ! it would be so easy to tread it !!!!

I made the arrangements for you,
drop the barrel to DlaskCo, you will be taken care of.
 
Tonight I mounted a tasco pro point to the VTR..5 green brightnes settings and 5 red. Not too bad, but I need it mounted almost 1'' higher to get a comfortable cheek weld and clear view...

just shot 500 rd's and i think i made my choice of ammo for this one !
i'v tried win wildcat/CCI/ rem yellow jacket/federal bulk/rem cyclone and they did not perfor well.
But now i think the remington SUBSONIC is the ammo of prediclection for this rifle, feeds verry good, no stove pipe ,500 rds with a couple of miss fire only !!!

everything came from FABSPORTS exept for the light that came from SKSMAN
n.b. for the rails you need to drill & tap 6x32 very easy to install....or have a look at yankee hill forehand they have differente models & length. not sure if they fit but they might !!!!!!
 
Guys ,

I am haveing a hell of a time finding a dealer who has the 30 round mags (black) for the VTR in stk. that is willing to ship to Canada, can anybody out there point me in the right direction ?

Oh, and can anyone tell me why I am unable to upload pictures? I added the link with the right tags with square brackets but it still does not show up. Could it be a firewall issue? (My Gmail requires that I use the "classic" uploader as well since I've moved to this new pad and have a new Internet service...)
 
simple !

remove only the upper slotted screw on the butt plate, then slip out the stockand unscrew the tube & your done !
