So i made the rounds to some of the gun shops in Edmonton today. Nobody had .45 auto brass new or used in stock. What i did notice was the huge volumes of .40 S&W brass both new and once fired that a few places had literally falling off the shelves. is this just coincidental? I bought 3000 rounds of .40 loaded ammo and 3, 1 foot square boxes of once shot brass anticipating the XDM that seems to be three or four years away now. I was thinking of trading or selling it off but now seeing 100 9mm brass going for 18$ and 200 .40 brass going for 16$, both once fired i am probably just going to have to hold onto that stuff or buy some other .40! on a brighter note i picked up 1000 9mm fmj 115 grn for 110$.

Just thinking out loud..... Perhaps it's because a lot of LE are using .40S&W now so it seems that 1F brass is easy to come by. I noticed there is always .40S&W brass on the EE as well.

Regards,

If your seeking .45acp brass, go to Wild West. Lots of brass on the shelves. I know....i spent most of my last shift there boxing it up.

I wonder if I could get the owner-lady to talk foreiger on the phone to her friend while giving a half-assed effort to help me? It was super fun last time.

I like re-loading .40cal, the size of the components, the straight wall case and ease of finding stuff makes it one of my favorites for re-loading.
