Finding flat mainspring housing and thin grips for 1911

Just put up a WTB on the EE for what you are looking for.... Specify the material you want the MS housing to be made from [some are steel, metal etc some are synthetic i.e. plastic]. There are lots of them sitting in parts boxes I'm sure.... ;)

There are a few places in the states that make thing grips, i just got an old pair of grips and sanded them down between the screw holes, and kept sanding till i got a good grip
 
I've got a blue steel flat serrated 1911 mainspring housing sitting in my parts box. Came off my 1950s National Match, when I put the S&A funnel on it. I'll never need it again. PM me a cash or trade offer that doesn't make my martini come out my nose, and you can have it.

EMT, banknotes, an old copy of Gun Digest; a HK P7 armorer's tool or gas cylinder scraper... a handful of 9mm snap-caps... Be creative.

I've got a set of beautiful uncheckered smooth rosewood slimline grips with bushins/screws that I bought on a whim & never used. I paid an arm & half a leg but if you're interested let me know & I'll send you a picture.
