My sister shot a spike the first weekend (i'm gonna try and put pics of it later) and i'm hopping i can go back for muzzleloader season with my brother but i broke my freakin heel yesterday

First year out, 5x? white tail, and 2x2 mulie. The white tail broke off one side after i hit him, couldnt find it for the life of me

nice guys good stuff the main thing is we got to get out and hunt but can someone tell me how to post pictures

Put your photos on photobucket, leave it open, post a thread here, go back and copy the image link (3rd one down??,sorry, 4th one down) and paste it in your thread. Done like dinner.:)

I got this guy last week. Kind of like a buck, but smaller.:D No idea on the weight but suprisingly heavy.....was still on the tail end of a cold so not as strong as I usually think I am.;)

My son and I are sitting at 14, with two tags left to go. Not much for size, but I did take a 175ish mulie buck at 546 yards with the .338 Edge, and does at 525, 550 and 660 with the same 17 pound rig.The 550 and 660 was a double out of a group of perhaps 20. My boy got a 135 whitetail with my old Savage muzzleloader, and after passing up a few decent mulie bucks ended up hanging his earn-a-buck tag on a little guy shot with his Mark V .257. He got a double on does with the same rifle, otherwise his were muzzleloader deer.
I got a double on does with another savage muzzleloader, which is the first time I've done that trick. Usually they run after the first shot, but this time part of the group hung around to watch the reload.
I'll probably tag out this weekend, and maybe think about getting some work done.

That twig in the mouth, is that a German thing or general European tradition?

I know it as a German hunting tradition, "Der letzte Biss" (the last bite). It's a bit of a ritual to pay respect to the animal in that moment of accomplishment and sadness that follows a successful hunt.

Sort of "the right thing to do", definitely a spiritual thing and harder to explain than I expected.

Who says I didn't mess up the interior?

I'll tell you, after I shot it the reality set in - I was alone. I had to pull that ####er out by myself. After I finally managed to shove it into the back of the car, I had to wipe.
