good chance that the slide pins are bent.
Not a real common problem with a SIG. But the firing pin spring is probly tired and needs to be replaced, or the firing pin, spring and area that they are in need a good cleaning. They slide will need to be dissasembled which isnt very difficult but if you are going to do it I would suggest getting the Armoures DVD as it is covered in detail. Parts can be had through a couple of the board sponsors.
SIG recommends replacement of most of the springs at 5000 rnds, lots of guys myself included have gone considerably more than that without replacing them, but if you have it apart I would suggest installing new ones as they are fairly inexpensive.
One other thought...have you tried any different ammo? Most semis will will hit the primer hard enough to make any ammo go( unlike a revolver) but it could be interesting to try.

As for replacement, I do remember it is recommended to replace the Recoil spring after 5k rounds, but a lot of other spring have a lifespan of 10k, 15k and 20k rounds. I think it is listed in the owner manual or sigarms.com.

It is more likely an ammo problem however check the firing pin as has been suggested it may require a new spring or the pin itself could be broken. The normal parts kit does not include the firing pin spring so you may have to order that separate. If that is the case you might as well order a firing pin or if the firing pin is not the problem someone may have changed the main spring to a lower powered one or it could just be tired. Once again this spring will have to be ordered and the changing of the mainspring requires a complete tear down of the pistol. Get the aforementioned Armorers DVD before you attempt this.

a bent slide pin will let the breach block go to far rearward.
a broken firing pin spring will NOT cause light strikes. that spring is designed to keep the firing pin back, not to strike the primer.
the hammer strut may be the wrong shape also, and not ride the hammer properly.
