Okay, press, dies ect on its way.

Loading for 7.62x54r, Speer 150's and IMR 3031, seems like load data is hard to find.

Going to be starting from scratch and would like a manual/resource with the appropriate data in it, any suggestions?

which cartridge are you speaking of?- i use a combination of what's on the net, speer, sierra, and lyman books -two or 3 sources at least if i'm on using the net- that way i don't end up buying a bunch of manuals for 1 "oddball" cartridge-

Lyman's 49th is a good bet as they are not trying to sell their bullets/powder etc, maybe some of their cast designs but in general a good unbiased reference book.

I have all the manuals I could find (at least one recent edition).
I always go to the manual of the components maker... say Speer if I use Speer bullets.
Then you can double check IMR/Hodgdon/Winchester powders using the Hodgdon complete manual. Same for any other make of powders, all those companies make their own manuals.

If you have to have only a couple of manuals, go for the Lyman and/or the Lee AND the Hodgdon.

well, i could do that, but while were on the topic i thought i would ask here, also it's friday and i'm not in a rush. Also i don't want to ask about every manual there is since right now i just need info for 7.62x54r with Speer 150 grainers and IMR 3031 powder. But hey thanks for the advice.

41.0 to 46.0 in my old Lyman book. Some manuals will list 7.52 x 54R as 7.62 Russian.
Load for the bullet weight. Who made it doesn't matter.

from sierra - 150 gr bullet, IMR 3031, 40.4gr min (2300fps), 43.9gr max (2500fps)
They also state IMR 3031 as their accuracy load at 43.9 gr.

I'll check that manual out i think, while i'm at it could you explain what you/they mean by "accuracy load at 43.9gr"?

is it just the most accurate they could get with that setup?

Thanks.
