I decided I need a break as I had too many irons in the fire and life wasn't fun anymore. I have been thinking about it now and then and I may just get back into it over the winter as I am a summer person and don't like to venture out into the cold. So I stay in my nice warm shop and build things.
 
Not to be a party pooper but wouldn't these guns go under the replica laws and be subject to B.S!!?? Like if the S & W AR-15/22 is spos to be Restricted wouldn't these home made replicas be too if the @#$% at the CFO office wanted to be well lets just say a pain in the @#$!!??

By the way great work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks you for compliments. Someone asked what mill was used to make the kit, it was a $80,000 Hauss Tool Room Mill.

The RCMP Tech Dept has stated that you can dress up a Ruger 1022 and as long as you don't play with the basic functioning, it is still just a Ruger 1022 no matter what you make it look like. But we were asked by the RCMP to provide easy access to the 1022's serial number just incase you were ever pulled over and your paper work examined. They would want to know your certificate serial number matched you 1022's serial number and they didn't want you to have to field strip it just to gain access to it. There is a little window on the left side so the serial number can be read.

There's also the MG42 kit and although its plastic it is an excellent reproduction but the gun inside is still just a Ruger 1022 not a prohibited machine gun. And besides, the Thompson kit is not a replica nor an exact duplicate. If you put it beside a real Thompson it would be immediately apparent which one is the real thing. But it does look look pretty damn impressive unless you are a Thompson aficionado. Then you might have some uncomplimentary words for me.:p

One thing I would like to mention is that the pictures of the Thompson at the beginning of this post are of the prototype. It was made entirely by myself and then Duracoated flat black. Our new Thompson kits are so much nicer in all respects. The machining is professionally done, the parts are all anodized a rich black, the stock set is a beautiful select walnut and the detailing is far superior to my original.

The work of a true craftsman, well done. You could market the Thompsons and MG42 replicas and have no shortage of buyers - that's for sure.

If you go back to my last post you will see that I already do market them.:eek: I now manufacture them and Fabsports is selling them to all you CGN people on my behalf.:D

They are a really nice piece of engineering, if I do say so myself, and you really need to see them up close and personal like. Ask some of the fellows that have already bought one. They're even heavy just like the real thing. :dancingbanana:

So after all my years of effort and the sacrifices I had to make :rolleyes:and the investment in new machines (read: toys;)) needed to develop this kit and bring it to market, its now up to you guys to do your part and go buy one.:p:wave:
