Type 97 See Through Scope Mount
With everyone patiently waiting for Can Am's T-97s to be released by the "powers that be", here is a post to get you thinking about accessories for them when they finally get into your hands.
I got one of Clobbersauras's Type 97 See Through Scope Mounts almost 3 months ago and have to say I'm very happy with it.
So, here is the review:
The mount comes simply packaged with an allen key and the very thorough and easy to follow mounting instructions:
The mount itself:
As mentioned earlier, the installation instructions are very thorough, and easy to follow. The mount slides on to the T97's existing rail and is then firmly anchored with 5 set screws on the top, as well as one in the front.
A view of the "see through" portion of the mount allowing use of the iron sights:
Some notes on the mount. It is solid, and it hasn't budged. The instructions note that Loctite should not be needed, and that is a fact. Clobbersauras told me he had used a rubber mallet on his to test it's security, so I did the same. The sight remains zeroed with no change in the MPI.
It's been dragged to the range and back many times in the few months I've had it and it's been used by me and anyone who has visited the range with me in that time. All have liked it (now critiques on the gun's silly mag release is another issue altogether...
)
The instruction sheet that comes with the mount finishes with the following:
In conclusion, I had originally intended to keep the Chinese optic I purchased with my T-97 mounted on it. But after using this mount with the Aimpoint Micro originally on my VZ58, I had to go buy another Micro (thanks Farmboy) because this one is staying where it is. When you guys finally get your guns, get in touch with Clob for one of his mounts.

IMO you can't ask for much more than that. A well made mount that's backed up by the manufacturer/seller.This mount is proudly manufactured in Canada. I stand behind what I sell. If you have any problem with the mount, for any reason, contact me and I'll take care of you.
