Someone Talk Me Out Of Buying A Benelli M4

My M4 experience is limited but I found the collapsable stock fit me as well as any shotgun stock i've ever tried, at least when set in the intermediate position.

ya so you guys suck at convincing me not to buy one! I went to the shop and she kept calling me to me. So I took her home. See if I ask your CGNs help ever again! LOL

:D

Glad we could be of service! :D

You may need to fire some full power loads through it before it feeds the cheap-o target shells completely reliably. I ran one case of full power ammo and now mine eats the cheapo target shells like candy!

Mine didn't like the low brass ones with cold weather, although that could have been the lube used. The M4 generally likes to be ran WET (lots of lube on the guide rails). Doesn't care about being dirty, but it likes lots of lube! :D

What do you normally shoot through yours? 00buck? slugs? I noticed there is a choke on this one so I wont shoot slugs yet since im not sure if its the right choke.

How many notches are on it? You should be able to see a few little "cuts" on the very front of the the choke, to indicate what it is.

Mine has 3 cuts (|||) which is indicated in the manual as modified choke.

I have shot slugs (2-34/ and 3" magnum), buckshot and low brass target loads through it, no problem.

It is safe to shoot slugs through the modified choke, in fact I have heard that Modified choke gives the best slug accuracy. I always shoot rifled slugs, which are designed to be safely fired through ANY choke (the rifling bumps squish out as it moves through the choke, so it wont cause overpressure)

I MAINLY shoot the low brass target loads for range time, since they are cheap!
