Hey guys I need your help

I've shipped non restricted but I haven't shipping a handgun. How to or info on it, would be great
I'm looking to use Canada post

Phone the Canadian Firearms Centre and get an ATT to transport the gun to the post office.1-800-731-4000
Then just take it to the post office and mail it.
You'll need the post office address, your RPAL number, and gun registration number.

Canada Post workers discover handgun in load of mail


SEPTEMBER 15, 2009


WINDSOR, Ont. -- Canada Post workers found some unexpected items while sorting mail Monday on Walker Road — a .45-calibre handgun and some ammunition.

“The gun wasn’t loaded,” said Windsor Police Staff Sgt. Mike LaPorte. “It was wrapped in a towel.”

Police seized the gun for examination.

Workers found the weapon in a load of mail around 9 p.m. Monday at the Canada Post sorting facility at 4255 Walker Rd.

The find is being examined by the major crimes unit.

I send mine by express post, signature required.

In that case you're breaking CP rules. Regular or expedited mail only.

Express gets bundled in with Purolator's mail (and is air mail I believe).

The thing that I don't get is the regs say that you have to attach a locking device to the gun... but you would obviously need to send the key along with it? Any gun I've ever received in the mail doesn't have a trigger lock attached.

Ive never got ATT's to ship my handguns...

And since I can see the Mailbox from my house I never will...

No gun lock. A cardboard box is fine. A "secure" cardboard box if you like. Pack it with the same care you would give any other item worth $### value.
