I'm just wondering what peoples opinions are on the fiberforce stocks i'm buying an sks for xmas and have been looking into stocks this one is cheap and cool looking. Has anyone had any problems installing this or does it have any bad features to it? Also if anyone has some reasonably priced stocks that they like better i would like to see them.

thanks

I have both Tapco T6 and the new ATI you are looking at. My personal preference is the Tapco T6. I like it better for the ergonomics. There is some fitment concerns with the ATI, you need a dremel to make it fit. You get more rails with the ATI if thats what you are into.

I'm pretty sure that with the ATI SKS Fiberforce Stock you need to strip the whole gun or at least pull the barrel out to get the receiver cover off. Not too big of an issue but when you have to thoroughly clean the sks after each use it might become a pain...

Where do you get this Tapco T6 in canada (or bc)? I find them everywhere on the net, but none of the vendors, including eBay, ship to canada... Frusterating

I just installed a Choate Tools stock, was an easy drop in and just the Gas Tube required some work. It comes with a pin from them for the Gas tube. It is lighter, more rigid and shoots great. You can't use the bayonet or cleaning rod however, but this is for my range gun, the bush gun stays stock.

I've got the fiberforce on mine but I'd spend the extra cash and get the Choate dragunov stock, way better finish and easier stripping.

Try Fabarm.com and SKSman.com

Thank you for the links meo, does sksman ship to Canada???(it looks like they do but has anyone bought from them?)

The add for the ATI stocks says that "no modification to your SKS needed." Are some ATI stocks fittable without needing to sand anything?

Hello all, I bought this ATI Dragunov stock from a private sale. Everything seems ok as far as dropping the barelled receiver in the stock. Now, my only problem is that I can't remove the wooden handguard to replace the new plastic guard from the gas tube. Does anyone replaced one before? Some tips would be appreciated. Thanks all. Cheers.

There's a pin on the receiver end of the gas tube. Pound it out and pull off the end to remove the handguard.

I got it out now! thanks Woodbeef...I sanded out the surface on both sides (to see where the pin is) and drove out the 1/8" pin using a flat tipped punch (from either side). I wouldn't recommend a pointed tipped punch as it will flare the pin. Using the same size punch will serve well. Cheers all.
