Best place to buy Classic Green + ammo?

I'm finally in the market for a Classic Green / Black Special - been saving all my shillings for a while now...

I've been shopping around and it seems like about the cheapest I can get is $3350 (Frontier). I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something obvious and was wondering if anyone knew of a cheaper option.

The other question I had was what ammo is best suited to these rifles. I've heard that they like heavier bullets (62 gr.?) and was curious as to what the best ammo option was and also where to get it.

As I said, I've done some research, I just wanted to see if anyone had some advice for a Swiss Arms virgin before he went blew a very big wad (of cash)...
 
Don't want to insult anyone's intelligence but have you tried TSE?? The rifles were around $3200 and a case of 55gr PMC is only $469. Best to go right to the source.

OR check the EE for the rifle and save some bucks. Get a 1/7 twist rifle if you can find it!
 
I also got mine from the ee here!.. got it with 4 Swiss mags and a cheek piece (which is abit of extra cash if you want to pick them up afterwards). Got it for $2950.. Its a great rifle.. my only complaint is that is beats the hell out of the brass and the receiver just behind the ejector port (just stick on a piece of fuzzy velco in that spot if you want to save the paint on the receiver). I know you will be very happy with it once you fire it.. Super accurate even with the diopter site only.

Yes, I did check out TSE but they have nothing listed as being in stock right now and to be honest I'd rather pay extra and not have that "TSE" laser-engraved stamp on the receiver. If I'm paying that much for a rifle, I'd rather not have it defaced with free advertising. Just a personal preference, I suppose.

I did have my name on a list and they'd called me earlier in the year (when I was still in saving mode) but they were asking $3400 then and they never said anything about a case or anything else coming with it. Two 5-rnd mags, I think that was it.

No question, I should've re-mortgaged my house and bought one a year ago! LOL!

The last batch that came in were 1/7 with no TSE logo. I just sold one on the EE a few weeks ago.
 
The last batch we got in did not have the logo engraved on them~ They were retailing at $3200. The only thing was they didnt come with the cleaning kit or a sling~ Case and mags and manual were included tho. With that said...We have no more tho :D
 
awww cori i really wanted to pick one up today :( i purchased a cz858 instead! :D

still looking at that swiss arms you guys have on consignment for $4200. yikes! gotta dig deeeep for that one, very nice though.

You did grab a CZ? lol~ Good job Florin~ Yeah the black special would be a real nice treat but a little out of my price range too~
 
As we are no longer the Canadian Distributor, we wont be bringing any in ourselves unless we order from our friends at FN Sports/R.Nichols out East. I think they start at $3600 for one~

Should you not be in bed???:D
 
ouch! why are you guys no longer a distributor? bad break-up? jeez that's not good :(

No it wasnt a bad break up at all~ From my understanding ( I could be wrong..Not very often I am..lol) They are distributors for all Sig and Sauer lines so they thought it would be a good idea if they took over the Swiss family as well. They wanted all their products to be distributed together~


I cant sleep either~ Between the dog waking me up and the baby kicking me..I give up~ Maybe I'll go to the shop early....You gonna pick up the coffee and meet me? :wave:
