So...if I understand correctly...the top one is the restricted one that you'd get if you ordered that way? Also...do you get the sight if you order the restricted one? I'm trying to convince wifey to let me pull the trigger on this...

Ignore the top one, it is the IWI X95.

The restricted one is identical to the NR, just a short bbl. Same options, etc.

So the factory rail upgrade does not have a rear iron sight?(don't see one in the picture posted) Does it still allow the use of the add on magnifier? With the picatinny Mepro sight is the height at which the optic sits changed? Do the irons still co witness the Mepro?

Seems the info is pretty foggy on this tavor. Not sure if I like the idea of ordering without knowing for sure.

1)If I take the Mepro sight off can I put another sight on the rail it comes with?
2) Dlask makes a low picatinny rail will it fit on this Tavor? Can I then put the Mepro sight on the picatinny rail?

1) yes, if you order the installed factory rail, and rail mount M21 sight

2) the factory installed standard M21 is permantly attached to a proprietary riser. The base of this riser mounts to the barrel via 2 small 1913 pads. You could remove this riser/sight assembly and mount it to another rail, but it would be quite high, and would require remval of the barrel. Many on this boatd have done this. I know Gothmog mounted his on an AR.

Yes, it is basically a STAR, as pictured in the brochure.

The factory rail covers the area where the rear BUIS would be located.

I was under the impression that when you ordered you either got:

Option A) the MeproM21 sight mounted to gun, no rail
OR
Option B) the rail without the meprosight?!?!

You know if you got the top one in with a 20" bull barrel (non-restricted) I'd be forced to buy one
