Tavor - December shipment

We were told in mid-Oct by IWI that production would take 2 months. I have not been told of any changes to that schedule.

Aw man, really? That makes it mid-Dec to finish production, 3-5 weeks on the water, possibly another week or two on the dock depending on customs, more time to unpack, inventory, transfer, repack and ship...

Unless they're getting air-freighted with high speed customs clearance, mid-Feb is looking like a realistic date. And not to mention Xmas holidays being mixed in.

I suddenly feel very sad. :(

If this is the case it'll give me more time to acquire my ACOG ECOS & other fancy goodies. :pirate:

Nowadays military arms and tech get tested from extreme cold right to extreme heat, and moisture, and full combat abuse. I would never worry about any use you could put it through.

I'm not sure why CanAm edited their post, but I vaguely remember seeing the word...

wait for it...

waaaaait...

it was...

air. Which is normally a pretty boring word, but compared to surface or ocean in this thread it's about the bestest and most excitingest word ever!

Hence the WhooHoo! :D

Ahhh, what an emotional rollercoaster ride I've had with the Tavor...

(ecstatic) Ordered one in Oct of 08 but (despair) lost all hope of receiving it once the dollar crapped out. Then found a used one on the EE (ecstatic), but (despair) it didn't look like left hand bolts were ever going to arrive so resold it in the spring, only to have the LH bolts become available a couple of weeks later (seriously P.O.'ed). Mostly forgot about it (apathy) until this fall when CanAm said more were arriving in December (ecstatic), so promptly fired off an EMT and felt like a kid before Christmas. Then (despair) feared they might not be here until Feb so was all Scroogelike again, and now (ecstatic) there's hope they'll still be here within a month.

Gotta love it when an inanimate object can do this sort of thing to you. :D

Yeah, they are totally ambidextrous with a little modification. Well, less ambidextrous, more right handed or left handed. I am not sure, but I don't think it takes more than a few minutes to swap it around but you need that multi-tool thingy.

If you order one on your website do you have to pay for it now or when it comes in?
