My AR22 Project finally Complete, Updated photos.

Is it just me... Or your flash hider isn't index properly?

Looking forward to seeing a range report!

You are right, its just hand tight untill I can put it together properly with a vise..

Also I can't wait to take it out. With work, family life, and it getting dark at
4pm I am finding it hard to get out lately.

I did take it apart last night and took some pics, so I sould have some pics and part info up soon...:D

Glad you guys like it..

I have been collecting parts for almost a year now, these are all the pieces in one shot.

The stock is a 10/22 Nordic AR kit, you get the three pieces shown below. Since I don’t really want to know what I paid for this, I am not pulling out the receipts.
Nordic Components is a long time supplier of high quality machine parts to firearms manufacturers. The AR22 Kit coupled with a Ruger 10/22 rifle duplicates the look and feel of an AR-15 rifle with the ammunition costs of a 22 rifle. If you guys bug Fabs for some I am sure he would get some..!:D

I am using modified 10/22 guts, and a Dlask 10 / 22® .920 .22LR 12" Target Barrel.

The classic handgaurds I found on EE, they are heavy plastic. I used a little plasti-dip on them and it works great for grip and also made them a little more ascetically pleasing.;)

Next the front sight, this was a pain in the a$$ part.I found a screw on metal one off ebay, most likely made for a higher end paint ball. It is made for a 1" barrel, my barrel is .92" so it was pretty close. I have used strips of aircraft metal tape to make it fit like a glove, then screwed the sight on. I am thinking of drilling a small divit into the barrel where the screw goes.

The muzzle, crush washer, delta ring assy and handgaurd cap are from Questar, great doing business with them. I had to mod the handgaurd cap to fit the barrel.

The buttstock is the classic AR style with a nice little storage compartment.

OK, I know this is an old thread, but I'm doing the same build and have a Q on the hand guard.

Is there a way to index the delta ring so the handguard aligns properly? When I tighten the D-ring on the SR-22 bbl nut, the circular shaped cut-outs are just a bit too far left or too far right for the HG to be vertically aligned. The HG has little semi-circle nubs that line up with the cut outs on the D-ring, so the positioning of the handguard is finite and limited to the # of notches on the D-ring. Is there supposed to be a lock ring (like on the SR-22 HG) behind the D-ring? Or can I file down those nubs and rely on the spring tension to keep the HG from spinning around?

Thanks fellas.
