Hey Gang...

I am working on a Mauser project, and I am trying to identify the manufacturer. There are no markings or numbers except "33" on lots of parts (I assume last two digits of serial number).

The only proofs that I could find are a few on the bottom of the bolt handle as shown below. I can seem to track down what the proofs are. Maybe one of you guys can help out.

It's a 7.91 marked large ring Mauser.

Thanks

Those are Imperial German acceptance stamps as far as I can tell. The one in the middle is the Imperial German eagle.

Is it a Gewehr 98 you have ?

That information should be on the top of the receiver. If that has been scrubbed, and if you still have the stock, there are a few ways to tell roughly what time frame it was manufactured in.

No other info. The info from on top of the rec has been "decorated" by a rifle builder a LONG time ago. Besides these markings, the only other marks are 7.91 on the base of the barrel.

Thanks

IIRC the crown over L was the mark of King Louis of Bavaria. This mark appears on Mausers made for Bavaria and bayonets.
Bavarian Mausers were made at the state arsenal at Amberg and so marked.

Sorry to hear that, it will be difficult to put a year and manufacturer to your Gewehr 98 action. Do you still have the matching stock ?
