Have you modified your SKS or CZ858? Show your pics please!

Heres my 858 with an ak dragunov style stock, a 6x42 posp scope, homemade wood hand guards, homemade flash hider, and a homemade side mount plate for the scope.

Love the look but I am wondering if your scope setup works.

Where did you get the magazine?

The scope works flawlessly, I can hit clay pigeons at 200 meters just about every shot (sellier and bellot ammo). Originally I had used a 3/16" thick piece of 1018 for the mounting plate, This wasn't so rigid and accuracy did suffer. I changed to a 1/4" thick piece of 4140 and heat treated it to R/W 40. I noticed a big difference in accuracy with the 1/4" piece.
The mag is a cut down 5/30 rounder.

Here's an old pic I have posted on here before, Tapco T6 stock, quad rail, collapsible bi-pod, illuminated scope, 5/40 rd mag:

I have been working on a few changes. I'll be sure to toss some pics on here once she's done.

Thanks. As for the tri rail I bought it off of a member here on the EE. The cheek piece is home made (heat gun and dremel are your friends). I did the paint by hand while looking at a picture of a socom II.

hey mlehtovaara, nice setup you hav, simple, but nice. Is your cz non-restricted or restricted

Mine is the non-restricted model. I was gonna buy a collabsible stock for it but the ones I have seen all have the slightly downward angle and don't have much of a cheekweld. With the scout mount and a scope like mine it raises the sights quite a bit higher than the factory irons, and thus I figured this stock was the only way to get a decent cheek weld. Yurns out I was right. This setup works well. I have seen the adjustable adapters so you can but a AR stock straight out the back of the reciever but don't see it necessary to spend another 150 bucks for one.

This is an SKS-D bedded into a Choate stock modified to fit the D model. Receiver cover mount with the mounting bolts drilled and tapped to the receiver and a custom made muzzle brake.

Not mine but one of the best looking in my opinion. I drool over this gun.

I think it would look perfect if the bolt, brake, and mount were black. (I'm a sucker for everything matching :D )

And heres my 858, I don't care for the real tacticool look (red rifles should be red! :p ). Factory folding stock, 4 5/30 mgs, 2 chopped 5 round mags, and ammo. All I need for a recipe of fun.
