Eotech XPS

I just got an Eotec XPS-2 and I like it. This is my fourth Eotec, and I finally got the model I really wanted. CR 123 battery, two dots, smallest, lightest etc.

The top red dot cowitnesses with my BUIS.

I will probably get a quick release mount [ Larue? ] for the EO, even though the new improved thumb screw is quite a bit more usable without a TOONIE than the old screw.

I had the EO model with the built in double ARMS QR levers and sold it for two reasons:
1.] The through bolt spacing on the EO ARMS levers did NOT match up to the groove spacing on an ARMS M14 scope mount. If the ARMS EO mount doesn't fit an ARMS M14 rail ... then what were they thinking??

2.] The ARMS QR lever system works well ONLY with true Picatinny spec rails, and I sometimes swap scopes over to other rifles, with Weaver rails. For this reason, I prefer the LEUPOLD QRW rings, which adjust in and out to fit either model of rail.

Right now my EO XPS is mounted in front of the receiver, on an M14 UTG rail. Once I finish my UTG rail rear extension add on, I plan on mounting it further back, over the receiver.

For the XPS2-2 model, can anyone tell me if the second (lower) dot is calibrated for anything specific? I am guessing that it is 16 MOA lower than the main dot (just judging by the pics)

Thanks

I haven't used my XPS 3-2 out to this range yet, but my handy operator's manual says that the lower dot is set up for 500 yards, using .223 62Gr. Assuming that you are using a 25 yard zero for the center dot.
