Hey,

So I am looking at Premier Reticle scope which is a 34mm tube... problem is I have a FLAT TOP 1913 rail, so that means I would need the Rings to be canted... does anybody know of any GOOD 34 mm rings with 20-30 MOA cant?

Thanks,
- Koshy

Found one:

Accuracy International: Unimount: 34mm: Mount for Picatinny Rail: 28 MOA: Part #: 3436

Just for anyone else who may share my dilema!

Thanks,

AAAA-HAAAAAAAAAA!

Good for you, but where are the pics you promised!?!?! I was expecting an update to your thread in the "Precision rifles" forum!

p.s. That mount was practically made for the S&B; if you read the manual for the latter, they specify that you get a mount that's canted to half of the elevation range. Guess what the elevation range is for most S&B's with MOA elevation increments ;)

Premier Reticles looks like a quality choice as well. Looking forward to your updates!

Haha, yea I feel bad... but I had spent the entire Saturday cleaning it and learning it :)

Should be ordering the Premier Scope in next couple weeks, until then someone at the club was kind enough to lend me their 3-9 bushnell :p

My only concern with the mount is getting the proper eye relief, as rail space is not in large order on my rifle, but I trust everything will be okay as a PR is only a tiny bit larger then a S&B of the same Magnification :p

Hopefully this weekend I can go over to the guys house who was kind enough to hold it until my PAL goes through and take some pictures!! But at same time I don't wanna bug him :) But I promise before the end of the year there will be lots of nice pictures :)

Please check out the thread I list below maybe you can help:

Call Richard Near ( w w w .nearmfg.com )

Here is a 34mm Alphamount 20MOA. I had a AI mount ...gave it away after I got this work of art. There is no comparison ...you get what you pay for. The only advantage of AI mount less $$

I also have NF Unimount but its not available in 34mm

What makes you like the Near Unimount more?

Thanks,
- Koshy

The AI has 3 small allen head screws to clamp. The NEAR uses the standard ( ie, like Badger, TPS, Leupold etc ) 1/2 nut . I have a torque wrench with 1/2 socket in my kit for all my other rifles

Overall build quality and beefiness is much higher ( even a NF Unimount is beefier than the AI ..but not available in 34MM )

Most annoying with the AI is the corners are sharp. My AI kept getting caught on my jacket when I had the gun slung on my jacket . If you are not packing the rifle for days on end hunting I guess this would not matter. The NEAR has large radius

Lastly , its Canadian made

They have a 28MOA 34MM in stock right now BTW

Don't forget to give us a review on your Premier scope !!
