Guess?
I have posted a few times in this forum and I have kicked the proverbial can a couple of times, but I finally took the plunge and bought a Tokarev TT33 from Frontier. I am a sucker for Russian kit, as I own a Mosin Nagant 90/31, a Russian SKS, and my pride and joy, a 2007 Ural Patrol motorcycle.

I am not trying to promote Frontier, but the TT33 is the third firearm I have purchased from them, the first being my M14, and the second being my 858. I called today to ask them something, and when I mentioned my last name, which is somewhat unique, they knew my name!!! I love these guys!!

Anyway, I am really excited about getting my TT33, and I hope to start using the 1000rds I bought to go with her!! :D

No only mistake you made was ONLY a 1000 rds! I did that...followed by the big box;2280 rds. And Frontier has been good to me as well. I'm wishing I'd have picked up a TT-33, I went with Norinco's M-201, better grip...but the finish is ...sharp? Needs lots of handling to round off the sharp edges.

i made the mistake of going with the norinco M-213
i wish i had got a real tt33
but since it was my first pistol, i wanted to go with a more common calibre....

Frontier are great to deal with I bought a shotgun, scope and a handgun there...they even helped me get the gun on my Bday! :D which I ordered kinda late...

I've owned the Nork and currently own an Origional Tt33. The Russian is superior in every way. My Nork wore the slide where it cocks the hammer. I guess that part of the slide was not hardened properly. I fixed it a few times with a file but it would just dish out again after a few hundred rounds. My tt is more accurate and better quality, I put some Yugoslavian style grips that cover the back strap and a houge handall to make it handle better.
Hope you have as much fun with your Tt as I do with mine.

use a pair of sidecutters to test the ammo bullet. You can cut a lead core bullet. if it is steel core, it can ding a steel backstop.

Oh Oh. Now you tell me! Are steel core considered "armor piercing"?

Anyone know what Frontier is peddling?

I took the plunge as well, pistol from T.E.C, ammo from Frontier. Where does one obtain Yugoslavian style grips? Can you post a pic?

Thanks.

Pm me your email addy and I'll send a couple. I got the grips from Lever Arms in Vancouver but they sold out quite a while ago. I had to take off the laniard ring from the frame with a dremel toll to fit them but they give the gun a much better angle and feel.

I took your advice and got lucky...They had not shipped the ammo yet and I bought the 2280 instead of the 1000rds.

I just bought one too:D can't wait till I get it

I kicked myself last time frontier had them and I didn't grab one.

I was wondering if anyone knows, do they come packed in cosmoline?

No more ammo though.. i was thinking about getting one of those pistols .. as i like the caliber but without ammo... not much shooting will be done..

SFRC lists 7.62X25 in stock. Keep an eye on Frontier, maybe it's an accounting or website glitch and not a stock issue.

Not anymore! I just bought the last two 480 round batches of it. Now I just have to get a Tt-33 from tradex and I'll have my first restricted. :D
