Who here would own a $50,000 rifle?

The other thread has lots of opinions, so I'm curious how many on this site have the means to own such a rifle, would own such a rifle or are 'impoverished' rolleyes like me. Just curious, no hidden agenda here.

I wouldn't spend 50k on a bolt action hunting rifle even if I had the $$. 20mm multi barrel cannon, now thats a different story

No I wouldn't buy a $50,000 rifle even if I could afford to. I shoot for hunting and enjoyment and I don't think either experience would improve by having a such an expensive rifle.

I do own some of that value or more, and would buy more if they opportunity arose.
Firearms can be very good investments.

i would if i could. It would likely have 2 barrels on it, but if the right bolt gun came along, i would. I would also likely own 50- $1000 rifles as well.

Another way i could see it happening is if it came with a vehicle attached.

If I had the $$ I'd buy 100 $50,000 rifles and enjoy every one of them.

A few years ago I visited a master gunsmith shop and browsed around
his 25+ rifles in various states of build. They were all pieces of art ...
with exotic woods I had never heard of and bores machined for elephant
hunting.

I had to ask him how much. He said his least expensive rifle was
$10,000 but they were all sold.

So I guess some people must appreciate them.

I betcha there are more than a few on this board that own $70k diesel trucks that would maybe be worth $20k after a few years..

Spend $50000 on a hunting rifle!?..NO way..but I will spend $5000 on TWO very nice hunting rifles...few thousands on a guided hunting trap, go to the gun shows in the states, buy a Glock...buy an AR15... buy50 BMG and bank the rest...appox $30000! LOL.

If I had more money than I could spend there's no way I would own a $100 000 car, a $75 000 watch or a $50 000 rifle. Price and value are not the same thing.
BTW I own a $3000 Tavor and I firmly believe it is one hell of a good value.
