In case anybody is curious, we are up to 137 'orders.
That is pretty much how much they cost, even for a regular production version.
Exactly, a standard 1B is $1114.51 at Epps...
If there is an argument about barrel lenght then I would say a 24" sporter barrel would be a very good alternate. I find the 24" barrels on a single shot rifle very suitable with fine ballance. Besides a 303 would not need anymore length for good ballistics.
yes but I think what he's getting at is why does a ruger #1 cost that much?
I have the same question. what makes this ruger single shot rifle worth that? Not sayin it isn't and Im buyin one just the same, but for 1000-1200 you can buy a pretty nice bolt gun.
Geez fellas don't get all squidgy on me.... Just because I personally wouldn't want one doesn't mean I would begrudge any of those who do. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see anything to tempt me more to buy a Ruger #1 if there was to be a limited edition Canadian example.

NAA.
Some time ago there was a magazine article where a guy had a Ruger chambered for 303British. I'm not sure who did the work, but the chamber was a special, blueprinted chamber if I remember right, and the accuracy was exceptional.Yes, I posted that +100 posts ago, and Clay said it was probably not factory, as Ruger never chambered the No.1 in .303 British.
250. We are now 139 and i'll inventory some and lipseys will keep 50. if ruger gives the go ahead, we'll take deposits and do the order. How many total rifles are usually needed to get ruger to run a limited run?
Are any other dealers (CGN or otherwise) getting in on it?250. We are now 139 and i'll inventory some and lipseys will keep 50. if ruger gives the go ahead, we'll take deposits and do the order.
Here's your poll .........Can somebody run a poll with the first second and third listed configurations and we could poll our 1st second and third choices.
Are any other dealers (CGN or otherwise) getting in on it?
