How much interest in a Canadian limited edition Ruger No.1?

How about a serial like C303-001250 for gun one and C303-250250 for the last? The C can mean Canadian or Commonwealth, take your pick. A serial is no more money than regular ones.

For the RSI haters.

Here is a pick of my RSI vrs my Guide gun. The for end on the RSI was cut down and the LOP reduced 1/4" as well. She's a beauty to hunt with.

 You cut down the wood!

It's your rifle, but wouldn't it have been less painfull to lop 2" off a 1A?

But that is a good picture in that it points out just how handy an RSI is due to it's very short overall length. Think of Winchester's M94 Trapper, except instead of a 16.5" barrel you have a 20" barrel.

Poor full wood....

Been out of town for the week and glad to see this thread is still alive...
Another gentleman from another sight just asked me: "Why the Ruger? And not a cheaper single shot like an H&R? My answer went like this:
"In short, when I thought about this rifle & came up with the idea (albeit, not that novel). I personally wanted a rifle that would reflect a true hunter and his skill. A cartridge that reflected some history in Canadian & was still commercially obtainable. And of quality and unique enough to get the average shooter interested in it as I am, with it not being so exotic that it would be priced right out of most people's hands. "A not too common, common man's rifle" if that makes any sense..."
I think that whatever rifle we choose it should kind of reflect this idea & I still believe, in a limited run it will be of some collectors value & probably one hell of a family heirloom...

Full wood got mangled so I had to cut it.

Yes poor full wood.

And just to redeem my self for past transgressions. Also for your viewing pleasure...

Believe me, if it was in an H&R or a T/C or something similar, I'd not be interested one bit. *GAG*

:p

Ya, me either.

Ruger #1 in 303 British seems to be an instant "hit" with people. Think of something else that would have got the same number of positive responses...I bet you can't.
