To clarify what I think is an excellent point
Yes I would buy a $50,000 rifle, and I have the means to do so. 7
No I wouldn't buy a $50,000 rifle and I have the means to do so. 47

So, out of those with the means to do so, only 13% would do it.

No I wouldn't buy a $50,000 rifle, but I don't have the means anyways. 214

Out of those without the means, a full 40% would do it if they could... which might explain why they can't :D

Well 85 replies and 433 votes later I should clarify, I wasn't speaking of doubles but a certain pair of bolts from the other thread. But for what it's worth I don't think you'll find a double from an English fine gun maker for $50,000 unless they have an equivilant to our Stevens 200. :p

Clueless? I'm thinking so.

A Westley Richards can be had for only a little more than $50k - in either .470 NE or .500NE.

There are other good options too:

It's also amazing how someone who starts a thread hasn't a clue what the topic is.

And if you could read you'd know I would not own a Miller rifle even if I can appreciate what it is.

What's amazing is how someone so full of themselves can be botherd to reply to anyone elses threads at all.

Now, where does it say anywhere that I could give two s**ts if you would own a Miller rifle? Did I direct anything towards you anywhere? Did I insult you? Yes, people can start a thread, even one that was based off one of yours, without actually making you the center of the universe.

I have several 50,000 dollar rifles. 20+ for sure. I use them to prop up the beans in my garden on occasion. My parrazzi shotguns are awesome loaners for newby night at the trap club. What the hell. They are just tools. Use them. I once used my H&H as a handle on my Jack-all. It worked fine. Talk about a versatile gun.

How does pointing out you know little about the topic your presenting make me full of myself?

If I had $50K sitting around that just had to be spent on rifles I would spend it setting up a program to help get young shooters into precision or service rifle shooting. Youth are the future of our sport and a no interest, rent own program may be the best way to get an 18 year old on the line.
