Hey guys,

I recently got a TT-33 from Frontier but due to my lateness to order the ammo... it was all gone.

I now have a Norinco TT-33 clone on its way to me and it's the 9mm barrel.

I was just curious as to if the 9mm barrel will fit into the original TT-33??

And does anyone know where else could I get some 7.62x25mm ammo for the TT-33?

would love some inputs and if you know some secret location of surplus ammo.

haha

thanks in advance

P.S. does anyone notice that this thing looks a lot like the 1911???
and if you have any cleaning tips or "proper" maint. tips feel free.

P.P.S. and if anyone knows where I could find a Norinco NP-58 it'd be a great help too :)

Frontier has stock again, and far as I know there is and will be plenty around, lots of stuff in the US but not many guns and new imports are banned, so most of that stuff will flow this way. The Norinco 213 barrel should fit but you also have to use the bushing in the front.

I do know that my 7.62 Tok and my 9mm Tok have different mags. That might be something to consider when considering a cartridge change. Check the Ammo section, I could swear I saw a link there for bulk TT-33 ammo.

Don't dryfire that son of a #####!

I just broke the pin that holds the fireing pin in place on mine. It's located 1/2" forward of the rear sight. I replaced it with a cotter pin for now. Looks really lame. If you want to dry fire it I'd recommend taking it out for safe keeping and putting something else in there.

SFRC will be getting more ammo in, likely to be slightly cheaper.

the pin that holds the firing pin in place... is that the pin/screw on the top of the slide?

how the heck did you manage to break it? and is it the Norinco or the Original TT-33?

yeah it is a original tt-33 that screw actually is a pin with a split on the end making it look like a screw. When you dry fire does it bounce around and or spin?

no bounce and no spin, it's as tight as it was when i first got it, haven't taken it apart yet.

Also just got my Norinco M201C from Marstar yesterday. (9mm "improved" version from Norinco)

I now noticed what you mean by the pin. lol

Also noticed with the extra grip on the Norinco, it fits my hand far better then the original TT-33
Also realized that the muzzle flash from the 7.62x25 is freakin big! My girl took a video of me test shooting the original TT-33 and WOW! It was mid-afternoon and i could see that muzzle flash from a mile away.

By the way, does anyone know how to remove the extrator for cleaning?
I see a pin from the bottom/inside of the slide to where it seems to hold the extrator in place.
And especially after shooting the surplus ammo, i saw a bit of build up from the extractor and I have no clue how to take it out.
