Perhaps too much crimp on the cartridges ?? Hmmmmm.

I've tried the squeeze cockers but could just never warm up to 'em, though.

Check the OAL of your ammo... :p

I tried one at a range in New Hampshire years ago. I found it a total b!tch to try and shoot accurately. The principle is good, but just try and have a smooth trigger pull as you're overcoming the spring of squeeze cocker (15lbs of pull). If you don't like a double stack, you'll really dislike the monster grip of a P7 series.

Interesting idea, but I hated it. DAO service pistols killed this model off.
 
I shot a buddies and it was very accurate but it heats up too fast for my liking. I agree I never really warmed up to it which is good because it was out of my price range anyway.
