BROWNING '81 BLR Hammer Side Extention

Not sure if this helps as I am not a Browning fan and don't really know the differences in models.
From Uncle Mike's web site:
2457-0 Browning BLR 1981-1991. Will not fit 1992 and later models
I did not need one.
On my Marlin... yes it was required, but my BLR hammer was in a lower position and I had enough room under the scope to comfortably operate the hammer. It was a newer BLR with the rotating safety hammer maybe they are different.
