I want this so bad I can taste it!

Here's what we know about the XCR-M for now, while Alex is starting to get the project more seriously underway. This is still all speculation however.

1. The rail will be 2" longer than the standard XCR-L
2. The standard barrel length will be 18"
3. The XCR-M will take DPMS/KAC pattern magazines. This is the only way to keep the outstanding XCR ergonomics.
4. Expect the XCR-M to be the recipient of all the XCR-L's progress, so the new stock, ambidextrous safety and all the other goodies
5. The XCR-M will take the same stocks, grips, and triggers as the XCR-L
6. Anticipated weight is 8.3lbs unloaded.

This all could change at the end but for now this is what is known.
I believe it will also take the new 7.62x51mm 20 round PMags.

I'm waiting for the new generation stock. Supposedly imagine a magpul CTR and UBR mixed with just a touch of ACR. Any news on those Terra?
 
I smell an opportunity for us "Bubba" types to Canadianize this rifle...

Maybe wood grip and stock.... but the hand guard is an integral part of the upper... I don't know if it would be worth it.

I love the look of the solid stock over the tubular folding stock

Gorgeous rifle, thats for sure.

Since im still working on my USC it will be a while before I get an actual RIFLE, and since I want a N-R autoloading .30 cal, it was looking like an LRB Arms M14s, or a Kel Tec RFB. But I may look into getting this guy, since I will have a while ot save up for it! :D

Will there be an XCR™ in .308?
We designed .308 Model which we have named the XCR™ Medium (XCR-M). We do not have a date for this rifle but we estimate that it will be available in early 2009. It will handle .308, .243, 7mm 08 and other calibers based on the .308 case.​

Why is your Rifle so Expensive?
We know you can buy an AR and a Glock....WITH a case of ammo for each for Same price we charge for a Single Rifle.
Go ahead - more than enough fools to buy our product.

Maybe if you get a job you'll be able to afford one.
 
rivet, they don't cost that much in the US. And considering the amount of money spent getting the XCR over the border and through all the hoops that must be jumped through, Wolverine has done an excellent job of keeping costs down. god forbid they seek to make a profit as a business as well.

His main purpose on this board seems to be similar to that of a fly buzzing around your office. Enough of a bother to annoy you, but not enough to take your time to kill(or ban) it.


The gun sounds like its gonna be good, and is a huge bonus in non-restricted. Using the new Pmags is good too, no worries about trying t source FAL or other type mags.
If the RFB doesn't work out, I know what semi-auto 308 I'll be getting.
