Best I have is they were made from 1945 to 1957.

My Dad had a H&R Topper Model 48 16 gauge.He gave it to my brother many years ago.For some reason I thought they were older than the 1940s.Guess I was wrong.

I'm thinking of making it a bit shorter,I know the barrel must be 18 inches long but what is the minimum overall length(I need something I can strap to the rack on my threewheeler)

With a sign on name of 28gauge I would think you would want a 28 gauge to strap on your 3 wheeler.LOL

My H&R model 1915 28 gauge is way to nice to cut down,the 16 is beat up so I don't mind screwing with it.
